ISRAEL TRIP June 2007

Athens, Greece

We had a LONG layover in Athens, Greece so we went sightseeing. We had just enough time to see the Acropolis, eat gyros, buy an ornament*, and take in the smell (we’re not sure if it was the people or the flowers, but Greece had a very distinct smell). It was also enough time to completely wear Ethan out!

You could climb up this cliff for an amazing view of the city. We had to take turns since we could not bring the stroller up the cliff.

Off to Israel…starting the vacation with lots of energy:)

*We collect ornaments for our Around the World themed Christmas tree. Pretty funny since we have not had a Christmas tree in 3 years and it doesn’t look like we’re going to have our own this year either. Hmmm, could there be a lesson in this? Don’t lay up treasures on earth where moths and rust destroy! (Matthew 6:19-20)
